Four MultiCare Pulse Heart Institute locations have been recognized with 2026 Cardiac Care Outcomes Assessment Program (COAP) Performance Recognition Awards. The Pulse teams were recognized at the Cardiac COAP Annual Meeting on May 27, 2026.
MultiCare Auburn Medical Center, MultiCare Deaconess Medical Center, MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital, and MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital all received awards for Percutaneous Cardiac Intervention (PCI) care. This is the fifth consecutive year Auburn Medical Center has received this award. Tacoma General also received an award for Transcatheter Valve Therapy (TVT), which was added as a COAP quality initiative in 2024.
COAP is a respected, non-profit, physician-led organization in the Pacific Northwest that evaluates cardiac care outcomes and benchmarks performance across the region. Its Management Committee identifies key quality indicators to ensure patients receive the safest, highest-quality care possible.
Award recipients met or exceeded the regional average in at least seven of nine PCI quality indicators, and eight of nine TVT quality indicators, with no outlier metrics and all data current – demonstrating a consistent commitment to clinical excellence.
