MultiCare Pulse Heart Institute’s Inland Northwest Electrophysiology Device Clinic received the Murj 2026 Cardiovascular Achievement and Recognition of Excellence (CARE) Award at this year’s Heart Rhythm Society conference. This national distinction – awarded to only 20 clinics across the United States – recognizes exemplary performance in cardiovascular care and organizational excellence.
Earning the CARE Award reflects the INW device clinic’s sustained commitment to delivering high quality care, advancing clinical standards, and improving patient outcomes. Over the past two years, Pulse has achieved greater than 90% patient compliance with device follow-up, a benchmark that underscores the effectiveness of our processes and the dedication of our staff.
Our device clinic, remote monitoring team, and scheduling department have worked diligently to ensure timely patient outreach, particularly for individuals overdue for remote transmissions or in clinic device evaluations. Maintaining current device follow up is essential to confirming that each implanted device is functioning appropriately, optimized for patient needs, and programmed to the highest clinical standards.
In addition to these achievements, the team has played a critical role in ensuring patients remain connected to their remote monitoring systems. Staff members work diligently to locate and send lost or replacement monitoring equipment, guide patients through the process of completing remote downloads, and provide individualized education on how their monitors and transmissions function. This focused patient education has given individuals a clearer understanding of the purpose and importance of remote follow-up, contributing significantly to the clinic’s sustained improvement in compliance.
This achievement is a testament to the professionalism, expertise, and unwavering commitment of our team. Congratulations to all who contributed to this outstanding accomplishment.
