february is National Heart Month, and the first Friday in February is National Wear Red Day.
Since 2004, the American Heart Association (AHA) has worked to raise awareness of heart disease in women through their “Go Red” campaign. This year, MultiCare President Florence Chang has teamed up with AHA as chair of Go Red for Women, a catalyst in the critical work to improve the heart heath of all women.
Join Florence and your colleagues and wear red the first Friday in February (Feb. 6 this year) to raise awareness that heart disease is the number one cause of death for women in the United States, causing one in three deaths each year.
Take a photo of your team or take a selfie in your red attire and email your photos to lisa.stevenson@multicare.org. Photos may be shared on Point MultiCare, the Pulse Go Red website, MultiCare social media, and AHA social media.
