Cardiologists are board-certified specialists who focus on diagnosing and treating heart diseases and disorders. If you are having symptoms that may be caused by a heart problem, a cardiologist is often the first specialist that you will see for your initial workup and testing.

These board-certified surgeons specialize in surgical procedures of the heart, lungs, esophagus, and other organs in the chest (thorax). Pulse Heart Institute’s cardiothoracic surgeons are some of the most experienced in the region.

Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialists

Our cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation specialists are specially trained registered nurses and exercise specialists who work with patients during their recovery process — or even before a serious heart event — to help them improve their heart and overall health and return to their daily life.

Electrophysiologists

Electrophysiologists are cardiologists with advanced, board-certified training in treating heart rhythm and other issues related to the heart’s electrical activities. Pulse Heart Institute’s electrophysiology program provides the state’s only radiation-free ablation therapy procedures.

Vascular Surgeons

Vascular surgeons are surgeons with board certification that focuses on treating the blood vessels of the body, with the exception of the vessels of the heart and brain. Vascular surgeons may perform procedures on the arteries and veins of a wide variety of areas of the body, including the arms, legs and internal organs.
