Pulse Imaging COE launches satellite School of Cardiac Ultrasound in partnership with the Arizona Heart Foundation (AHF)

The Pulse Heart Institute Imaging Center of Excellence recently launched a satellite School of Cardiac Ultrasound in partnership with the Arizona Heart Foundation (AHF). The first session of the school’s one-year accelerated cardiac ultrasound training program is slated to begin January 2025 in Auburn, WA.

This program is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, and provides comprehensive training in echocardiography techniques, equipment operation, patient care and diagnostic interpretation. Program graduates can anticipate competitive starting salaries, with 90% of graduates securing job placements and the average new echocardiographer earning approximately $85,000 a year.

Led by PSR Imaging Medical Director Dr. Sabrina Shaheen, Imaging Manager Holly Euler and Imaging COE Director Andrew Smith, Pulse Imaging COE team members worked diligently to bring this much-needed program to fruition. Pulse will not only be providing the classroom space, equipment and support for students, but their echocardiographers will be providing hands-on training to students during their clinical rotations.

Space is limited to ten students per cohort; interested parties are encouraged to apply soon. Applications for January are now being accepted and interviews for the ten available openings will be conducted in September.
