Pulse Heart Institute recently announced an affiliation with Western Washington Medical Group (WWMG) Cardiology.
WWMG, a local, independent, physician-owned group with 23 specialty departments and five primary care offices throughout the greater Snohomish County region, has been providing expert cardiovascular care to Snohomish County residents for over 35 years.
As the region experiences continuous growth, WWMG has grown in lockstep with their commitment to community partnership and patient-focused medicine. WWMG enjoys a wide range of clinical affiliation models and service agreements through many of its medical departments; each one allowing them to remain most focused on patients and their health care.
As of Nov. 1, 12 providers, 28 WWMG Cardiology staff and the WWMG Cardiac Imaging Center will become affiliates of Pulse Heart Institute. While they will remain WWMG employees, they will be valued members and partners of the Pulse team and Pulse is excited to collaborate with them to serve this new marketplace.
The affiliation with an independent practice like WWMG aligns with Pulse’s philosophy of a physician led, professionally managed heart institute. The partnership will serve patients in the greater Snohomish County region through clinics and imaging centers in Everett, Marysville, Monroe and Arlington.
Services in invasive and interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure and imaging will be provided in existing WWMG Cardiology clinics and hospital-based care will be provided at Providence Everett and Northwest Hospital. This expansion will allow for growth in geographic reach, as well as the the opportunity for Pulse to share the beneficial attributes of their Institute model while also learning lessons from an innovative partner to improve upon it.
