Pulse Heart Institute opens state-of-the-art hybrid OR at Good Samaritan Hospital

Pulse Heart Institute, the MultiCare Good Samaritan Foundation, Good Samaritan Hospital leadership and members of the community celebrated the completion of our new hybrid surgery suite, located at Good Samaritan Hospital, on February 19.

Under the leadership of Scott Eichelberger, Pulse AVP of Clinical Services, and with generous financial support from the MultiCare Good Samaritan Foundation, Pulse was able to make this hybrid suite a reality. Pulse teams will utilize the most advanced, state-of-the-art imaging equipment in the Pacific Northwest, allowing our physicians to offer their patients the latest in minimally invasive options for the treatment of cardiac and vascular disease.

This hybrid suite combines the best features of an operating room and a cardiac catheterization room, allowing for flexibility and adaptability during procedures. Combining the clearest pictures available, advanced three-dimensional planning software, and the utmost safety and sterility, the hybrid suite allows Pulse physicians to provide optimal, individualized care for a range of heart and vascular conditions. Using minimal contrast and x-ray – which is safer for both the patient and the surgical team – this suite will allow our teams to care for patients effectively and efficiently in less time.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the work that brought this hybrid suite to Good Samaritan Hospital, enabling Pulse to provide the best care to our patients in the PSR region.
