Heart Month – February – may look different this year due to the ongoing restrictions of COVID-19. But that doesn’t mean that there won’t be opportunities for learning and fun.
Friday, February 5, is the annual Go Red for Women day.
While most of us are not as clustered together as we used to be, you can still share a photo of yourself wearing red. Ask someone to take a picture of you, or take a selfie and have it posted on the Pulse Go Red website. Photos will be posted to that site as the day goes on, and afterward as well.
While you’re at it, you can take a selfie with the American Heart and Stroke Association’s virtual Go Red photo booth.
As an event, American Heart Month dates back to the early 1960s. On the first Friday of the month, people are encouraged to wear red to remind friends, family – and themselves – that heart health is important. You can learn more at the American Heart Association’s Go Red website.
